ONGOING PROJECTS



                              The Greater Tuckerton Ministerial Food Pantry


FOOD BANK SUNDAY
Collecting donations for our local pantries to feed the hungry the 4th Sunday of each month.

FREE COMMUNITY DINNERS
Come enjoy a meal and fellowship.  The second Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm.   

HUNGER PROGRAM THROUGH PRESBYTERY
Lots of way for you to get involved-Check the bulletin board in fellowship hall or visit PCUSA pcusa.org/foodcrisis.

CROP WALK
Walking to help feed the hungry.  Next walk will be held October, 2010.

NECK COOLERS
We sent 47 neck coolers to our troops overseas.  The special fabric gets soaked in water and stays cool for hours.

CHURCH WORLD SERVICE EMERGENCY DISASTER KITS
With your generous donations and the help of our Sunday School, the Mission Committee assembled many disaster kits for those in need. 

HEIFER PROJECT The congregation raised hundreds of dollars toward this worthy project.

HEARTS FOR HONUDURAS
Our church has adopted three children from LaEntrada, Honduras.  The children from our church are corresponding with these children.  We continue to support the Hearts for Honduras School.  

MISSIONARIES   
We support our missionaries in Egypt and The Congo. 
           
SISTER JEANS KITCHEN
Our dedicated group of volunteers have now added a second day to serve lunch at Sister Jeans Atlantic City Soup Kitchen.  The carpool leaves the church parking lot at 11:15 am on the fourth Thursday of the month.  We hope you will join us!

SPECIAL OLYMPICS
We support the Special Olympics through the Polar Bear Plunge.  Each year several brave individuals from our congregation take the "plunge" and we support them all the way!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Several upcoming projects are in the works, and our support will be needed.  Contact the church office for more information.  You can also volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity Store.

We are working hard to make our community a better place.
